General Information
LISD magnet schools are pursuing candidate status with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to develop and implement IB curricular framework in grades one through eight in three elementary schools and one middle school. The IB curriculum is a rigorous course of study which prepares students for advanced courses and beyond. The goal is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate, life-long learners who understand that other people with their differences can also be right.
*IB status is pending authorization and evaluation of schools. |
